Brass SIEDLE’s core business. In the Black Forest in the very South of Germany, in the edge between France and Switzerland 200 years ago the industrialisation started with hand made clocks manufactured by farmers. It was the birth of the world-famous Black Forest clock industry with the cuckoo clock as its hallmark. With the biggest brass foundery in the region producing precision brass gearwheels and clocks SIEDLE was a core player in this new upcoming industry from the very beginning.

Brass forging a new challenge for SIEDLE. Developing the brass manufacturing from the traditional casting to forging SIEDLE started with this new technology in the early twentys of the last century. Named in different languages and expressions as stampaggio otone, brass stamping, hot forging, hollow forging, Schmieden or Warmpressen this technology is today state of the art for different products.

SIEDLE a market leader in brass forging technology. Terminating casting after World War II SIEDLE’s direction was supplying not only forged but completely finished brass components. Following the demand of the market SIEDLE invested in a super modern machining department with CNC multispindle technology as backbone. Based on standard IT-platforms and in a close partnership with the customer SIEDLE engineers develop new brass forgings in a time-saving, cost-effective and precise manner. Following repeat tooling can be manufactured fast and absolutely identical.

High end chrome products for the world market. Aquiring the GROHE facility at Herzberg in 2007 today SIEDLE provides ready to assemble high end chrome components to the faucet and sanitary industry worldwide. With a skilled team of buffing, polishing and plating specialists combined with super modern CNC controlled equipment world class quality standards of chrome plated brass parts can be achieved. Standards which are continuously monitored and documented in an in-house laboratory.

SIEDLE sets his mark with quality. Following his roots out of the traditional clock industry, driven by quality, skilled workers trained in-house in process are the foot of the power to compete. Steady on-the-job training guarantees to keep our know-how on high level. A certification according DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 documents this target.

Ideal material properties, high profitability and entirely eco-friendly – brass hot forging combines incredible advantages:

  • Compared to cast parts brass, hot forging parts do have an ideal fibre course, do have a homogeneous microstructure without any bubbles and can keep closer tolerances.
  • … show high strength properties.
  • … are gas-tight.
  • … are temperature-resistant to more than 100° C.
  • … are hygienic, based on the antibacterial effect of the surface.
  • … are wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant and easily to assemble.
  • … are lead less or lead free.
  • … are highly heat conductive and electroconductive, but antimagnetic.
  • … are very easy to machine, extremely easy to polish and can easily be galvanic treated.
  • … do have a high decorative surface.
